DPWH to inaugurate PHP180-M bridge project on Friday

ILOILO CITY, Jan. 21 (PNA) -- The newly-completed PHP180- million Muelle Loney Bridge will be officially opened to public in an inaugural ceremony that will be graced by Public Works and Highways secretary Rogelio Singson and Senator Franklin M. Drilon on Friday.

The bridge is expected to decongest traffic leading to the new Iloilo Ferry Terminal.

The new bridge crosses the Iloilo River and connects the city proper to the new ferry terminal in Lapuz district.

The two-lane 125 linear meters prestressed concrete girder bridge is complemented by a 157-meter promenade at the Lapuz side and another 536.6 meter Esplanade at the Muelle Loney side.
