ILOILO CITY, Jan. 5 (PNA) --Iloilo City is sustaining the momentum in terms of major accomplishments this 2016.

Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog encouraged City Hall employees to continue supporting the programs and projects which garnered prestigious awards and make them sustainable.

Iloilo City got the Plaque of Sustainability for having exemplified commitment in raising the standards of accountability, transparency and improved service delivery, thereby pursuing the ideas of Excellence in Local Governance (EXCELL) Awards 2015 by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG-6).

This after Iloilo became a Hall of Famer as Best Performing City in Region 6. The City Government was also a consistent champion in administrative, social, economic and environmental governance.

Mabilog asked Ilonggos to cooperate and support the initiatives to make the metropolis livable, safe and peaceful for residents, visitors, and investors.
