ILOILO CITY, Jan. 19 (PNA) -- A musical fireworks display slated January 20-21 will add color to this year’s Dinagyang Festival.

Nomar Chavez, in-charge of the ‘Luces in the Sky’ said there will be no competition this year; instead, it will only be a showcase of fireworks.

He admitted that shooters are having a hard time working on their permits following the Work Stoppage Order of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). As option, event partners SM City and Megaworld decided to tap local shooters who already had experienced seeking permits during this city’s New Year’s countdown.

However, he assured that the public will not be disappointed by what they will be witnessing as the pyro-musical display will be a minimum of 12 minutes non-stop.

He disclosed that in previous years, they were able to gather 14 shooters, but the total maximum display was only around 25 minutes.

The display, to be held at the SM City carpark, will start 9p.m. on Friday while those at the Megaworld will commence 8p.m. on Saturday.
