SM Hypermarket holds street food fest in Clark

CLARK FREEPORT -- Famous Filipino street food were presented during the three-day street food festival of SM Hypermarket which runs from September 1 to 3 at SM City Clark.

The event, formally opened by star Alessandra De Rossi, is part of the SM Hypermarket Food Festival which was launched at the Mall of Asia (MOA) last August 23.

Kapampangans had a taste of kwek-kwek, turon with langka, on-stick inihaws, Ilocos empanada, takoyaki, shawarma, deep dish pizza, lechon sisig, crablets, bagnet, and others.

The event proved that no matter how many restaurants or fancy restaurants sprout, Pinoys will always find their way home to street food.

The event, which highlighted food-tasting, games, and other activities, had over 50 stalls featuring top brands found in every home’s kitchen.

Visitors had a chance of bringing home SM Hypermarket Street Food Festival merchandise and items by going around the booths and completing their free stamp cards.

The event was capped by a live acoustic band who serenaded the audience as they enjoyed shopping deals and tasting street food.

The food fest is a collaboration of Philippine top brands like Unilever, Nestle, San Miguel, CDO, Alaska, Century, Del Monte, Bounty Fresh, Farm Fresh, P&G, Delimondo, Mama Sita’s, Selecta Ice Cream, Federated, Arcy, Madison, Sysu, Sunnywood, Sanicare, and Lamoiyan.
