Julian Baños, a Spaniard originally from Seville, Spain, was a surveyor for the Spanish Army during their administration of The Philippines. He was born in area of Seville, Spain in the year approximately 1868 or thereabouts. He surveyed many areas for the Spanish military cause and concentrated in areas of Zamboanga and Basilan, where he felt mostly at home.
